10" Beech Wood Bowl, Pixie Stix CANDY

This beautiful 10-inch solid beech wood bowl was inspired by the illusive Pixi Styx. Do you remember those paper tubes full of flavored sugar goodness? I loved them then for their pure sweetness and I love them now for their bright colors.

This bowl has been dipped in a clear, food safe rubber and is then adorned with textured color that is reminiscent of artfully spilled Pixy Stix. This bowl would be a perfect centerpiece for a dinner party (it’s a great conversation starter!). The colored portion is a food safe, soft rubber, which makes the bowl durable and slip resistant. The wood is left natural, YAY.

Size: Medium wooden bowl that has an approximately 10 inch (25.4 cm) diameter at the top, 5/8 inch (1.59 cm) rim, and is 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) deep.

Materials: Solid beech wood & food safe rubber.

Handmade notes: Each wooden bowl has been carefully hand-dipped in a food safe rubber that we custom mix in small batches. We don’t measure or tape the bowls to create perfectly identical pieces when applying the color to our wooden bowls. We believe beauty is in organic lines and natural movement, which means the color dipped portion may vary between wooden bowls and may show more or less wood as you move around the wooden bowl. There also may be small bubble marks. These are a result of the natural reaction and texture of the wood to the food safe rubber dip.

Wood grains are part of the natural beauty of each wood bowl (wood grains make us HAPPY). Grain colors can vary from light to dark brown or even a greyish hue. These colors should not be construed as flaws but as part of the uniqueness of the item.

*Please note: Due to the reaction of the wood and dip, there may be small bubbles that occur on the bottom and sides of the bowl. These do not interfere with the quality of the bowl but add to its uniqueness.*
